Ski and Snowboard Club

Ski Club Day:

Students must have helmet, appropriate outerwear, and money or bag lunch for dinner.

Must have a Helmet to participate.

Optional: Ski goggles, helpful for wind reduction, glare, and warmth.

Parents and carpools meet students at school at 3:40 pm or dismissal.

Lift tickets and rental forms may be handed out to drivers before school is dismissed if possible.

Once you have your students and lift tickets and rentals you can leave for Buck Hill.

Students still needing lift ticket and rental form, check in with MWS Volunteer with clipboard in front of equipment rental.

At Buck Hill, go directly to Ski and Snowboard rentals area to obtain equipment.

Lessons Start at 4:30 pm

50 Minute lesson
-
Meet in front of equipment rental by bell.

If you miss a lesson, 1 makeup lesson is available as needed on the 4th night.

5th week no lessons
-

Check in equipment with the Ski Check to prevent stolen equipment.

Right after lessons, most students eat dinner at approx. 5:30 pm in the area next to Ski School.

Students should not ski alone, everyone must have a buddy who they are responsible for on the hill.

8:00 pm Checkout kids with Nisa or parent volunteer by marking the check out list.
-10 Below or High Winds, coordinator will notify parents by noon to cancel
Parent Volunteers:

First day Help. All parents will need to assist on the first day in the rental areas.

Treats. Signup to bring treats that can be handed out at dinner.

Chaperone. There will be an opportunity for a couple of parents to ski with students each night.

Table Attendants. A couple of parents remain in our area to watch personal items and to be available if kids need help.
Reminders:

Send an extra clean and dry pair of socks to change into at the hill, feet will stay warmer. Wool socks are great for wicking.

Extra pair of mittens or gloves.
-
Hand warmers can come in handy on cold days.
